Delete Your Islamify Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data in Islamify: Hourly Devotional (also listed as Islamify — Quran, Prayer Times & Duas).

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

  1. Open the Islamify app and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm that you want to delete your account.
  5. Type DELETE in the confirmation box, then tap Delete Account.

Your account and personal data are erased from our servers straight away, and you are signed out and returned to the welcome screen.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

  1. Email hello@theislamify.app from the email address associated with your Islamify account.
  2. Use the subject line Account deletion request.
  3. If you signed in with Google or Apple, tell us which one you used, so we can locate the account.

We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you to confirm once it is done.

Deletion is permanent. Your account cannot be recovered afterwards, and reading progress, favorites and streaks cannot be restored. If you have an active paid subscription, see “Subscriptions” below before deleting.

What is deleted

The following are permanently erased from our systems as soon as the deletion runs:

Account Your account record, email address, name, and authentication credentials
Reading activity Reading progress, reading sessions, daily progress, streaks, and daily session history
Saved content Favorited verses, saved duas, and verse ratings
Worship tracking Prayer completions and spiritual connection records
Settings App preferences, prayer time settings, and reciter choices
AI features Logs of the AI explanation requests made from your account
Subscription records The subscription and entitlement records held in our own database
On-device data All locally cached app data on the device you delete from

What is kept, and why

A small amount of data is retained in a form that is no longer linked to you:

Data What happens to it
Product experiment records (which onboarding version a device saw) De-identified, not deleted. Your account identifier is stripped so the record can no longer be traced to you. We keep the anonymous totals so historical product measurements stay accurate.
Feedback you submitted to us De-identified, not deleted. Your account identifier is removed from the feedback so we keep the substance of the report without keeping it linked to you.
Purchase and transaction records Held by Google Play, Apple and our subscription provider RevenueCat. We cannot delete these on your behalf, and we are required to retain proof of transactions for tax, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Contact Google or Apple directly regarding their records.
Install attribution records Held by our attribution provider AppsFlyer and expire on that provider’s standard retention schedule.
Encrypted backups Deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll over, after which it is unrecoverable.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Islamify account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by Google Play or Apple rather than by us. Cancel it before you delete your account:

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can clear individual favorites, saved duas and preferences from within the app at any time without deleting your account. For any other request about your data, including a copy of it, email hello@theislamify.app.
