Welcome to Islamify ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account or use Islamify, we may collect:

Account Information: Email address, name (if provided), and authentication credentials
Usage Data: App preferences, bookmarked verses, prayer times settings, and saved duas
Worship and Reflection Data: Records of the prayers you mark as complete, and the daily spiritual-connection rating you choose, stored against your account so we can show your streaks, progress and tailored daily content. Because this reflects religious practice, we treat it as sensitive information and we never share it with third parties or use it for advertising.
Subscription Information: Purchase history and subscription status, processed through Google Play Billing on Android and Apple’s In-App Purchase system on iOS

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers, including your device’s advertising identifier (the Google Advertising ID on Android or the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS) and an attribution identifier generated by AppsFlyer
Analytics Data: App usage statistics and feature interactions
A/B Testing Data: We conduct internal testing to improve user experience. Anonymous usage data may be collected to compare different app experiences and onboarding flows. No personal information is used for testing.

2.3 Location — Processed On Your Device Only

If you grant location permission, your device’s coordinates are used only on your device to calculate prayer times, fasting times and the Qibla direction, and are cached only in the app’s local storage. Your coordinates are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we never receive them. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

We use the collected information to:

Calculate accurate prayer times based on your location
Sync your favorites and preferences across devices
Process subscription payments and manage your premium access

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide and improve our app:

4.1 Supabase (Database & Authentication)

4.2 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. Payment is processed by Google Play Billing on Android and Apple’s In-App Purchase system on iOS; we never receive your card or payment details. Learn more: RevenueCat Privacy Policy

4.3 OpenAI (AI Features)

We use OpenAI's API to provide AI-powered explanations and guidance. Your queries are processed securely and are not used to train AI models. Learn more: OpenAI Privacy Policy

4.4 AppsFlyer (Install Attribution & Marketing Analytics)

We use AppsFlyer to understand how people discover Islamify and to measure the performance of our marketing. To do this, AppsFlyer collects and processes device and advertising identifiers — including your device’s advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, Identifier for Advertisers on iOS), an AppsFlyer-generated attribution identifier, IP address, and Google Play install referrer data — together with app install, launch and subscription events. We also share the AppsFlyer attribution identifier with RevenueCat so that subscription events can be attributed to the campaign that led to the install. This data is used for analytics and marketing measurement. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to serve third-party advertising inside the app.

On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing the Identifier for Advertisers, and you may decline. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads. Learn more: AppsFlyer Privacy Policy

4.5 Google Services

We use Google Sign-In for authentication and Google Play Billing to process subscriptions on Android. Google’s privacy practices apply to the data they receive. Learn more: Google Privacy Policy

4.6 Apple Services

4.7 Meta (Conversions API)

When a subscription starts or renews, our server sends the purchase event — the subscription value, currency and a pseudonymous app identifier — to Meta’s Conversions API so we can measure how well our advertising performs. 5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

All data transmissions are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
Access to personal data is strictly limited
Regular security audits and updates

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, either from Settings → Delete Account in the app or by emailing us. Opt-Out: Revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, and reset or delete your advertising ID (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: decline the tracking prompt or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track)

8. Children's Privacy

Islamify is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. 9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, if necessary, providing additional notice within the app.
